MR. Grumps

A Poem writing prompt from Hazel write your poem as a limerick about your favorite toy!

So here’s my take: I loved the stuffed toy I won from a contest when I was 6 years old. I was offered a human-size Teddy Bear, but I wanted him. He was not part of the price, so I offered the contest coordinators another song if they let me have him (Mom was so embarrassed lol ). So there, Mr. Grumps is a stuffed dog/toy with a cigar in his mouth and a bored look. This made him stand out, and so I loved him. That was my only cherished toy, replacing Batman.

Oh, my favorite toy is Mr. Grumps,

He smokes cigars with Batman, what a champ!

I won him one day,

In a contest, hooray!

He listens, won’t judge- he’s my first true love!
